The Truth About Chinese Zodiac Predictions

You might have heard about the Chinese Zodiac from different places or websites. With Chinese New Year coming up, you’ll probably see many bloggers or practitioners using the Zodiac to predict your luck for the year. But honestly, I’ve never agreed with using the Chinese Zodiac alone to predict your future. This is something I’ve wanted to share for a long time.

If you’re new to my blog, let me tell you this: every piece I write here is from my heart. I don’t create content just to follow trends, like “Chinese Zodiac Predictions for 2025” or “How to Gain Prosperity in the New Year.” Instead, I focus on sharing genuine thoughts and deeper insights that you won’t easily find online.

Why Zodiac Predictions Aren’t Enough

Why do I think it’s not accurate to use the Zodiac to predict your love life, career, health, or wealth for 2025?

First of all, I’m not saying the Zodiac has no influence. Each year, there’s a Tai Sui (Grand Duke Jupiter), and every Zodiac sign interacts with the Tai Sui differently. The Tai Sui has a strong influence—sometimes positive, sometimes not. For example, if your sign is in harmony with the Tai Sui, some things might go more smoothly for you this year.

But here’s the thing: using only your Zodiac sign to predict your luck is too simple. It doesn’t tell the full story. While your sign might give some surface-level information, it doesn’t go deep enough to reflect your true situation.

Why? Everyone’s Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) is unique. Think about it: there are millions of people who share the same Zodiac sign, but how many people have the exact same Bazi chart? Almost none.

Your Bazi is made up of eight characters, and these characters interact with one another. There are thousands of possible combinations, and they are also affected by where you live, your environment, and even your own actions.

So while your Zodiac sign gives a general idea, it’s not enough to understand how your year will truly go. It requires a detailed analysis of your Bazi chart.

Why Zodiac-Based Forecasts Are Misleading

You’ve probably seen people on TV or social media talking about yearly predictions based on Zodiac signs. For example, they might say, “If your sign is the Rooster, which complements the Snake (2025), your career will improve, and you’ll meet helpful people.”

Sure, these predictions are popular. They attract attention because they’re simple and easy to believe. But they don’t reflect the whole truth.

Your Zodiac sign is just one of the eight characters in your Bazi chart. The other seven characters, their positions, how they interact, the structure of your chart, and even your 10-Year Luck Cycle all matter.

I often joke with my clients that analyzing a Bazi chart is harder than studying calculus—and I’ve taken Calculus 4! That’s why I don’t give quick answers when analyzing someone’s Bazi. I also don’t rely on Zodiac signs alone because that wouldn’t give you the accurate, responsible analysis you deserve.

My Love for Chinese Astrology and Metaphysics

Chinese astrology and metaphysics are incredibly deep and meaningful, and I truly love studying this part of our culture. Through this blog, I hope to share more knowledge about Bazi and how you can use it in your daily life.
